“Whilst I have always understood the role that music and sounds can play, the effects they can have on our lives - we all have that one song which can lift our mood, or that certain noise (rain on a tin roof) that can help relax us - I am (was) one of the biggest sceptics when it came to holistic, new age, spiritual ‘stuff’. Then I had the chance to participate in a Sound Bath with Laura at One Light. Firstly, what an incredible human she is; love, light and comfort just emanate from her, just being in her company is enough to lift your spirit. She has such a wonderful calming way about her with the most beautiful soothing voice.

Upon entering her yurt you can’t help but feel engulfed by warmth and comfort - very odd sensations/feelings for me to experience, especially as my sceptical mind was in hyperdrive, believing it all to be a load of ‘tosh’.

I don’t know if Laura possesses some kind of mystical power that she can use on people like me, but I left that yurt feeling as though I had just been blessed by some kind of angel. I won’t lie, I also felt an intense anger (Laura explained to me why this was happening and within 24 hours it felt as though the past 30 years of anger, aggression and general disdain I felt within me, and projected outwards, just dissipated).

I have spoken to the other people who visited the same day I did, who were present for the Sound Bath, and none of our experiences was the same; the one connecting factor though was that we all said we felt ‘different’ and ‘better’ (in a great way) than we had before.

It’s been almost 3 weeks since I took part but I am still feeling the effects of the experience. I only hope she is able to find a way to record a session for download, or is able to open up a livestream when she is hosting some in the future because I want to be able to experience her energy, vibrations and soothing on a regular basis.

You will not be disappointed if you take the leap and book yourself in for one (Sound Bath) or any of the other experiences she offers.

I can also highly recommend the Chakra Meditation as well, although prepare yourself to experience some unusual stuff as Laura guides you through this; I’m still trying to get my head around a couple of things.
